Tortoises out and about?

Yorkshire, Poolewe and Straiton have all had a visit from tortoises over the last week. Where else have we got to? Drop a note on the forum and if you have any photos we can add them to the gallery.

Clock Lunges – this is how to do them

Running is done one leg at a time; this is a good exercise to stregthen the legs. Anyone recognise the legs?

Troon Devils successfully complete the 43 mile run from Tyndrum to Fort William on the West Highland Way  on Saturday, 8 August.

Checkout the Gallery for further photos of the intrepid duo plus strong supporting cast.

Congratulations also to Neil MacPherson on Mull marathon – see Forum for photos and also, I believe, Bruce for supporting the Scottish islands’ various events.

We get about for a small club.

August 5K Time Trials –

Tuesday evening saw the monthly stampede towards the front. Alex will update the results shortly. Good to see some new faces and well done Fraser, pending member, on an excellent first time 19:10.

Nice to see the re-establishment of what I gather was once a tradition, the after run swim. Very good for the recovery but not as cold as the ice bath that I am told some runners enjoy.

Round Arran Runners – enjoy the sunshine

All claim to have throughly enjoyed their day round the lovely island. Some good performances saw the 2 Tortoise teams finish within 5 minutes of each other. George somehow got that right!
