Advice To Runners In The Troon 10K On Wednesday 6th May 2015
Race Start is at 7.30pm. Registration Start and Finish are at the Walker Halls, South Beach, Troon KA10 6EF. Please arrive early by 7.00pm to collect your race chip. Entries are now closed. There are strictly no entries on the night of the race.
Collection of Race Chip is by Race Number. Please know your Race Number.
Parking
Parking at the Walker Halls is very limited. There is a public car park in Academy Street, 350metres distant from the Walker Halls. From the Walker halls go inland along Academy Street, cross Church Street and the entrance to the car park is 30metres beyond the junction.
If parking in the street, please ensure that you do not obstruct exits.
Toilets
There are high quality public toilet on the beach promenade between the Walker Hall Car Park and the beach.
There is limited toilet accommodation in the Walker Halls immediately adjacent to the registration area.
We regret that there are no showers available at the Walker Halls
Changing Areas In The Walker Halls
Male changing is in the Concert Hall at the North end of the hall complex.
Female changing is in the upstairs Arran Suite with entrance to the stairs being to the left of the stage when viewed en face in the registration area.
We regret that we cannot guarantee the security of possessions left in the changing areas.
Hazards On Course
Beware of potholes on the course! Especial care is required on the section through Fullarton Woods, at the exit from the woods into Wilson Avenue, and at the cemetery at the exit from Ottoline Drive.
As there are many road junctions along the route, for your safety please obey the race marshalls instructions.
There is a water station between the 5 and 6K markers.
Prize-Giving
Prize’s will be awarded for the first three male and female finishers plus there will be a male and female team prize details tbc
